ABC Keeps "Cougar Town" Name

The decision has finally been made that ABC’s sitcom “Cougar Town” will NOT be changing its name after all! Months have gone by of going back and forth about wanting to change the name of the show, executive producer, Bill Lawrence, has confirmed that they will be sticking with the original name, saying:
"I’m not changing the title. We never thought of a good new one, which kind of stinks. And when you look at the modern landscape of television, changing the title means changing your DVR and all this other stuff. It’ll be a funny burden to have. It might be the worst titled show of all time."
We never thought it was a bad name! Did you?

New Picture of Shake It Up!

"Shake It Up”, the new show about two friends who are dancers, will be hitting Disney Channel this fall. The show stars Bella Thorne of Wizards of Waverly Place, and Zendaya Coleman, a newcomer.
Bella's still a rising star but she took over the role of Teenie on “Big Love” this year and was in three new films! She’s got a new series and another two films scheduled to release next year, too. It looks like Disney’s lining up some new hits to replace “Hannah Montana”, which is in its final season, and “Wizards of Waverly Place”, which will cease production in about a year.  Disney CCO Gary Marsh certainly has high hopes for the series:
"Newcomers Bella Thorne and Zendaya make for one of the most likable and engaging BFF duos we’ve ever seen. And while buddy comedies have been around since the start of television, what makes ‘Shake It Up’ unique is that this is the first time anyone has incorporated dancing into the underlying premise of a sitcom."

Are you planning on watching "Shake It Up!"?

Selena Gomez is NOT Trying to Be Miley Cyrus

Selena Gomez has been making it very clear that even though she is one of the most popular stars on the Disney Channel, she isn't trying to replace “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus at all. Selena said about the subject:
"I was a guest on [Miley's] show three years ago. So I’m not sure where this [rumor] has come from. I’m flattered if people say I’m the new Miley, but I’m definitely not trying to be her. I’m just trying to be myself."
We're glad that Selena's being her own person!

“He’s going to be okay, but did suffer some sort of pelvic fracture. Still determining the extent of the injury.”
While Tony took to Twitter to share with his fans that he was still in pain:
“Pelvic vertical shear injury & a hematoma in a pear tree is the semi-official diagnosis. All I know is: I can’t lift my legs & it sucks”

Pranks On The Set of "Ramona and Beezus"!

Turns out the set of Selena Gomez’s new movie “Ramona and Beezus” was a really funny place to be! Apparently, tons of pranks were pulled on set!
Actor John Corbett, who plays Ramona and Beezus’ dad in the film, seemed to have the most pranks up his sleeves. Selena said:
"He was definitely a prankster, he was just so funny. One time he lifted up his shirt to Bridget [Moynahan] before we went into a serious scene, and that was pretty funny. And Bridget pulled it off very well."
Joey King (Ramona) spilled the details about John pulling a prank on Selena:
"In one scene, it was dinner and he kept piling mashed potatoes on Selena’s plate."
Sound like fun!

Demi Lovato Doesn't Plan to Change Her Image After Third Album

Demi Lovato recently told E! News in an interview on the red of VH1's Do Something! Awards that her fans should not expect a drastic change in her image with the release of her third album, like the change Miley Cyrus fans saw in their beloved “Hannah Montana” star when she released her most recent album “Can’t Be Tamed.” Here’s what Demi had to say:
I don’t think it’s going to change my image, not drastically. It’s going to be what you’re seeing of me right now. It’s going to be very Demi. It’s more mature. It’s definitely grown up, but in a classy way.
Do you think this is because Demi is happy with her image, or do you think it’s because Demi still enjoys shooting Sonny With A Chance whereas Miley stated that she was very happy to move on?

'Sucker Punch' Will Not Be in 3D

Zack Snyder, the director of Sucker Punch, which is due in theaters March 2011, told MTV in an interview at Comic-Con  this week that he's not planning on having Sucker Punch in 3D – even though it was something that was talked about a lot, and Vanessa Hudgens even said she would love to see the movie in 3D!
Zack even went so far as to say:
None of us want to get kicked in the knees because our 3-D is crappy.
Do you wish Sucker Punch would be in 3D?
