Many people assume that teen stars make a ton of money per episode, but that really isn't true. Miley Cyrus only made $15,000 per episode for her run on Hannah Montana. Before she left the series, Demi Lovato made even less at $12,000 per episode on Sonny With A Chance. Selena Gomez makes the most money on Disney Channel at $25,000 an episode for Wizards of Waverly Place, which is now in it's final season.
Miley made so little compared to everyone else because she makes $75,000 per single concert she performs, made a ton on Hannah Montana: The Movie, and also makes quite a bit on Hannah Montana merchandise. I can't quite figure out why Demi made so little, but it was probably because her series didn't quite grab the ratings that Miley and Selena's did. Selena still makes a little bit less than Miley did because she didn't make as much for Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie, makes as much on merchandise, or get so much for a concert.
In comparison, Nick's biggest star, Miranda Cosgrove, makes $180,000 per episode of iCarly, but Keke Palmer only made $20,000 per episode of True Jackson VP, and Victoria Justice only made $12,000 per episode for the first season VicTORious, though that is sure to change now that her series has great ratings and it is putting out a lot of merchandise.

ReplyDeleteHow can you say they get paid too little!? The pay for a private in the U.S. Army is between $12,000 and $13,000 for a WHOLE YEAR! Some of these girls make more per episode then our brave soldiers make in 2 or more years of service.

Selena and miranda cosgrove should make the same amount of money .. demi and miley now I really don't know what their doing but I only know know that demi is trying to get back into her music but miley I really have no clue what she's doing now. Victoria Justice should make $20,000

ReplyDeleteobviously you dont know that they havee to give away percentages of their money to their agents and managers and stuff...15 percent of their money goes to their manager, another 15 percent goes to their agent and 30 percent goes to this like trust fund type of thing that they cant get any of that money until their 21, plus another 8.5% in tax (being that they live in california) making 68.5% being taken away, their only taking home 21.5 percent of what they make.
ReplyDeleteVictoria justice ($12,000) is actually taking home about $3,780...multiplied by 21 episodes or so and getting a grand total of about 79,380. Still making her rich because she makes this amount of money in five months.
Miranda cosgrove on the other hand (180,000) is only taking home 56,700 per episode, thats less than half of what shes making, after one season she has about 1,190,700 compared to what people think (they think shes making 3X as much) (3,780,000) its really only 1 million which is still alot though but not as much.
Selena gomez (30,000) is taking home about $9,450 per episode and in a season about $198,450.
Keke Palmer (20,000) only takes home about $6,300 per episode and after one season $132,300.
This is also the same amount they are makeing a year because it takes 5-6 months to make one season then a few more months for writers to make a new script for the next season. So their not getting as much as you think.

DeleteThat is far too much! 30% in a trust fund? Lol that is money that they still have at this rate they'd all be millionaires. They take home a good portion. Make a lot more than most in a year and all they have to be are pretty little meat puppets. Trust me I love Selena and Demi but it isn't right that we pay these girls so much and those who truly bust their butts have nothing and live off of $600 a month if even that. $1,000 seems a lot more reasonable per episode and even that is still too high

Thats crazy wow we have to work minimum wage. At walmart and stuff working way harder. And not enjoying our job. To be getting cursed at by customers. And attitudes. Wow others get to enjoy life at a younger age and getting treaded like crap by a dum manager.
